IronMan 70.3 San Juan

Here I come:)

Almost a year ago Tyler and I watched this guy cross the finish line in first place for the IRONMAN 70.3 San Juan. I decided if I could get the swimming down I'd attempt to do this very same race. Even if I come in last. My neighbor Sarah had competed in a couple 1/2 ironman races and she also did this one. I think she got the fire going under me.

I have been practincing my swimming for over a year now. While I am not fast, I have gotten over my fear for the most part. I started out by learning in a pool. Started learning proper technique, learning how to breath and some tips on being more bouyant (without adding fat to my thighs).

Then it was time to swim in the open water. For a while there I couldn't even tread in the open water without being super paranoid about sharks or any other ocean creature that may be in the water. (the lagoon behind our house where the swim takes place there are at least 3 manatees that live there, even though they are harmless I don't know what i'll do if I encounter one). I stopped watching shark week and all those other discovery channel shows and I found what i call my "swimming circle". I have come a long way from freaking out just by putting my head in the water to now swimming over a mile in open water.

The next thing I needed to work on is my biking. First of all I needed a bike. Once I got my bike I could be more commited. After hours of online searching and visiting the local bike shops numerous times I couldn't seem to find anything in my price range. Tyler finally told me just to splurge. After ordering the color of bike I wanted they said it would prob take a week. Within that week I found her:) Perfect bike for a newbie. She was used but in great condition and at a perfect price. (Luckily we hadn't already paid for the other bike I was going to get.)

With my history as a spin instructor I had no idea where to begin on the real roads as far as long distance rides and training. So I just decided to put some miles on the lil ol lady and now I can't ride indoors anymore without going crazy. It is so rewarding to get home after a very long bike ride I feel so free on the road:). The only downfall here is the roads, they are terrible in a car so you could only imagine how they feel on your behind on the bike:()

Lastly we have the run. I have ran a little bit in my life and I don't think it takes an expert to be able to run. I figure if anything I can crawl across the finish line!

I was bit by the Tri bug

So i got bit by the tri bug last november when I did my first Triathlon (just a sprint, nothing too crazy). After witnessing my neighbor in the ironman 70.3 in the lagoon behind our house the fever came on stronger. I wanted to get into triathlons more seriously so I decided it was time to invest in a bike. While it is very entry level...here is my new baby!! Still no name for her yet but if anyone has some suggestions send them my way! After finally getting my pedals, shoes and cleats I have put a couple hundred miles on this bad boy and can't wait til I hit 1,000.

Planking

I don't know if you have heard of this new phenomenon but Tyler introduced it to me.

According to Wikipedia here is the definition:

Planking or the lying down game is an activity consisting of lying face down in an unusual or incongruous location. The hands must touch the sides of the body and having a photograph of the participant taken and posted on the internet is an integral part of the game.^[1] Players compete to find the most unusual and original location in which to play.^[1] The term planking refers to mimicking a wooden plank.

We decided to give it a try. Leave your comment here and tell us who you think has the better plank.

We found this guy zonked out on the beach so we thought it would be funny to see how close Tyler could get to him and plank. While he did get sand all over his face I think I have the more difficult plank.

Kidney Stone

For those of you who have never had a kidney stone...I don't recommend it. For those of you who have...I am so sorry. This is the worst pain I have ever felt (other than when my appendix burst back in 3rd grade). A couple weeks ago I woke up with the most excruciating pain in my side. I honestly thought something else had burst inside me. After a long morning of pain we finally decided to go to the hospital. We had no clue what was gong on. While sitting in the waiting room for what felt like 2 hours but was really only 5 minutes I barfed all over. I guess that is what it took for them to finally get me to a bed. After hours of this excruciating pain and Tyler bugging the doctor every 20 seconds for an hour, I finally got some pain medicine. The medicine helped a lot but I was freezing cold. So again Tyler had to keep hounding the Nurse for sheet, after sheet after sheet. I am bundled up in 5 sheets. So after various tests and a lot of needle pokes they figured out I had passed a kidney stone. Once we found out I just wanted to get out of that hospital. When I left everyone was clapping...I guess I was famous. Each time I left the room for another test the people behind the other curtains, would give me the biggest look like they felt so bad for me. I was too out of it to notice so when they were all clapping as I left I had to ask Tyler what it was all about.

We saved a baby bird

So after our drought of seeing a movie in Puerto Rico we decided to finally go to a matinee on a thursday! On our way out to the car Tyler spotted a little tiny bird in the middle of the road. He was so tiny and new that he could not even move very fast. He was a scared little guy too and I knew if we left him there he would be squished by a car. We say a nearby tree so we decided it would be a good place to put our new little friend. Before letting him go we had to take a few pics.

So we have been married four years now and we thought we'd celebrate. Since our anniversary date was on a tuesday we thought we would start with dinner and then explore on the weekend. We went to an amazing BBQ restaurant on top of one of the hotels. Even though you can't tell in this picture it was a beautiful view of the ocean. The food was great and we would definitely go back there.

Good food but sure a mess. That usually happens when you order ribs.

Over the weekend we decided to explore the west side of the island. We drove out to Rincon (the surf capital of puerto rico) and stayed the night. Here is the beach our of the hotel we stayed at.

The next day we headed down south to a little place called Cabo Rojo. After exploring for a couple hours we decided to get our of the car:)

Then guess what we did??? You guessed it! We fished:) Tyler mostly fished out on the flats where he could walk out pretty far. After an hour of fishing I became the videographer chasing the fish around with the camera.

I love the silhouette. The video is even cooler.

While trying to catch a bonefish we had no success but at least he caught something:) Look how cute the little fish is.

So I know it might get boring on here with all this fishing but I got really excited about this one. so far I am 2 for 2 on the fishing but I don't think my luck will last forever. We went out over the weekend to the Lagoon again and I caught AN EVEN BIGGER FISH THAT BEFORE. It was so big I couldn't hold it I had to rest it on my lap....He got slime all over me...yuk!~

Tiff's First Tarpon

I have never been much of a fisher woman but I do go out a lot with Tyler while he fishes. Last weekend he bought me a pole and today...I CAUGHT MY 1ST TARPON. Couldn't believe it but I felt him on the line and BAM, he didn't know what hooked him. He was a good size for me. Any bigger and I don't think I could have held on to the rod. He was a little fighter. First time I have ever held one of these bad boys and boy was he slimy. YUK!!

Costco Cake

Has anyone seen this? Every time we go to Costco Tyler has to go to the dessert section and stare at this cake for @ least 5 min. It is a ginormous chocolate cake with curled chocolate shavings all around it. We would definitely eat the entire thing if we got it so he has been waiting for almost a year because I told him we can't get it until his birthday!

The Hunger Games

I just started this series a week and a half ago and I'm already half-way through the second book. If you have not heard of this...Listen....if you have heard of it and have not read it...READ IT!! The Hunger Games is a series about a 16 year old girl who is sent to be a tribute in The Hunger Games...it is an annual event where tributes will fight to the death.

If you like a good book/series that will keep you on your toes this is your book. Not to mention, the movie first movie is coming out march 23rd of next year. For those of you who have read it and loved it feel free to comment:) Don't give anything away for me though since I am not yet done reading!

If you are a TWILIGHT fan you will be hooked.

Worlds Best 10K

This past Feb I ran the WB10K. It is called the worlds best 10k and I definitely think it was the best! So much fun, the weather was great and it was beautiful. Maybe next year I can get Tyler to run it with me. Cheer him on for me and maybe he'll do it. I finished in 52:00 which is a little faster than I expected. My original goal was under 55 so i'm happy with the outcome!

Easter Spring Break

Tyler's Family came to Puerto Rico a couple weeks ago for Spring Break. This was the "Easter Fishing Trip". It was a long awaited trip because Tyler was dying for someone other than clueless me to go fishing with. I am a good time but I'll admit, when it comes to those slippery suckers I have no clue what I'm doing. Basically the men fished and the women relaxed:) It was nice because when you live here you get caught up in life and forget to relax sometimes even though you have the beach right there.

They mostly fished in the San Jose lagoon that Tyler and I go to and here is what Lyle caught. They said it weighted over 100 lbs...Yikes that is one monster that I would not want to mess with.

The second picture shows what the Tarpon did to our boat. (Look at the floor and all over their feet...You guessed it...the fish defecated all over EVERYTHING!)

We went down to the south side of the island for a day and the men dropped Dee and I off on our own little private island while they fished around.

We did get to do some sight seeing as well. We went up to the Castillo San Felipe Del Morro in old San Juan and it was beautiful. This was built over 500 years ago and a huge portion of it is still standing. Here is the view from the west side of the castle.

Easter Fishing Trip

Tofu Disaster

It is always a craze to eat healthier cook healthier and so forth. We are so crazed about dieting and fat free foods that it consumes our minds. I am not a lot different than many people who follow this craze. I am always trying to find ways to sneak healthier food into our diet, while cutting back on the meat at the same time. I am not a huge meat eater however I married a carnivore. Every meal I try to do without meat the response is always "where's the meat". So... I decided to try a tofu stir fry dish for dinner tonight. It's even better because you get all the benefits from the protein and bone-healthy minerals, but you skip the saturated fat and cholesterol. I have wanted to try cooking with tofu for quite some time but I have always been so nervous.

Finally... I gave it a shot....let me just tell you I totally ruined the dish with my sauce and I think Tyler will never forgive me for this. By that I mean he may NEVER eat tofu again. I know there are plenty of dishes that I could make with tofu that would come out great, I just happened to pick the one that was the WORST!! Tyler was a good sport however and ate the disaster anyway...Lucky for me he will shovel anything down before telling me it's bad bless his heart. Thanks Babe! Not until I say it's bad is it bad:) luckily for him I threw the dish out and we made a pizza instead. Turned out great for him because Pizza is his favorite.

My Birthday

So My Birthday was just over a month ago and I wanted to show off my birthday present. After all, I am now 25 years OLD and counting the wrinkles next to my eyes. I will admit 25 is a little depressing because even though the years are racking up, I don't feel a day over 21. I know, big difference huh? Any who, I ride my bike to work and during the winter months it is wonderful. With the summer coming and the humidity and temperature climbing I started to get a little worried about how I might be showing up to work drenched in sweat. So...for my birthday Tyler got me a baja doodlebug mini bike! It is pretty fun to cruise around on and it's just the perfect size for me.

So it has been a while since I posted last and there is a lot to catch up on. The time here is flying by and before we know it we'll be back in the states. Lately our Friday nights have consisted of fishing in the dinghy followed by a sandwich from El Churry. I am loving this little boat and getting a lot better at driving it too. I usually drive Tyler around while he fishes and when I am not driving I am either spotting fish, or reading.

We have upgraded our pump to electronic so no we do not hand pump anymore...Tyler just thinks it's funny to make me look silly. We caught more birds that night than fish and yes that is a crab swimming in the lagoon:)

Biggest Calzone Ever!

So I can't remember the name of the place we got this at but everything they had was delicious. Tyler ordered this calzone and it was the smallest size. Next time we go we are gonna order the biggest one. I hear it is a monster. Puerto Rico has so many great places to eat. Last night we went to El Churry again and it was heavenly!

Tri-athalon

So I did my first sprint Tri-athalon last month down here in Puerto Rico. It was quite the experience. It is a half mile swim, 13 mile bike ride, and a 3 mile run. Totally sounds easy right? Well not if you suck @ swimming, which I do:) Anyway after the swim portion the rest was not bad at all.

Just got done with the bike and now I'm off to run...Very hard to run after biking, if you have not tried it you should. Wierdest feeling ever.

Tyler's Birthday

Endo Party

So the weekend of Tyler's birthday we went to a get together at his one of the attending's house. The house was amazing. This was the front entrance of their house. It was incredible, a mini waterfall and a pond in the middle of their front entrance. This picture does not even do it justice.

The party was complete with a bar tender and all. When you walk on to the back patio you are under a concrete gazebo that is just an extension of the house but without walls so it is this amazing open (covered) area to chill on. It was complete with an outside bar, a bathroom, and a pool with another waterfall spilling into the pool. These Puerto Ricans are very exciting people. So we showed up at 8:00 and there were a ton of appetizers so started eating (thinking that that is what was on the menu for the night). We hung out and talked with everyone for quite a while. As the night went on, we decided we would start to wrap it up and get ready to leave...oh no...so by now it is 11PM and little did we know they had just started to BBQ and pull out the main course dishes of Steak, rice, salad, dessert etc. The food just got better as the night went on...MMM...So all day we had been hearing we were gonna play cranium and this is Tyler's absolute favorite game. When 12 rolled around we figured the party decided to forgoe cranium....oh no...12 is when we decide to start cranium and of corse we stay because its tyler's favorite game and we love the company. Cranium was so fun. Everyone was loud and into it. I don't think I have ever had more fun playing cranium in my life. The best part about it was that I was the only one that didn't speak spanish so I had no clue half the time what was going on. All the women were saying everything in spanish so they could feed off each other and come up with an answer. I was just shouting out whatever I could think of. Luckily for me, the final answer had to be in english.

We got to go home in October so Tyler could go deer hunting. I am not going to lie, it was quite an enjoyable week. The weather was beautiful, the leaves were changing. We got to sleep in a king size bed and walk around on carpet. These, among many other things that I took for granted, are all luxuries that we do not have in Puerto Rico. I don't have many pics from our week but I here are two of the deer that Tyler got.

El Churry

When you come to Puerto Rico, there are a few local places you HAVE to eat at... EL CHURRY, it is actually not a restaurante, it is a truck that is parked on the side of the road. (believe it or not is was on the food network as one of the top places to eat in puerto rico) Anyway, you order from this window and $6 later you get a Mixto sandwich on the best bread in the world with Chicken, Meat, lettuce, tomatoes, chip fries, and it is all topped off in mayo-ketsu sauce, which is really just fries sauce (mayo & ketsup). You also get a coke, what a great deal. So when you get your food you just stand there on the side of the road, or in the parking lot across the street and you eat your churry. mmmmm....mmm...mmm I must say. If you don't have a reason to come visit, you do now:)

Luquillo Crab

Two thursdays ago Tyler had the day off so we decided to go out to the other side of the island. We went out to Luquillo beach which is about an hour away (near Fajardo). We took the scenic route so it might have taken a little longer. It was such a beautiful drive and when we got there, the beach was empty. We swam out a little and did some exploring around in the water, it was really a blast. As we were leaving we found this little crab to play with. Although he was missing a leg he was still a fighter. He kept his eyes on us no matter what direction we would turn...he was always one step ahead in his defensive position never letting the front of his body face away from us. Well...Tyler just had to pick him up...some sort of conquest i guess so we took our flippers and blocked his vision on one side as I faced him. That way he wouldn't know what was coming up from behind him. It was so funny to see this little crab put up a fight. Anyway... here he is.

Nail School

So I don't think I mentioned this but when I was in Utah for the summer I decided to go to nail school. It is something I have been wanting to do for a while now but just never got around to doing it. I really love working with my hands and I love being able to make people look and feel good. Nail school was a lot of fun but i'm glad it is over. I was glad to finally be able to get to Puerto Rico and be with Tyler. I feel like we are starting the next chapter in our lives. He definately picked out an amazing apartment and the greatest location. We are so close to the beach and it is a very nice area. I was able to find a job just two streets down from our house in a salon. So when I work, Tyler can take the car to school and I walk to work. So now I am currently a Tecnica de una, as you would say it in Spanish, which is Nail Technician. I started a blog so I would be able to post some pics for people to see my work.

Horseshoe Beach

We went to a baptism at this beach a couple weeks ago. It was beautiful, it was just this little horseshoe inlet that was very private. What a great experience to be able to be baptized at the beach. Probably the only time Tyler will get to wear flip flops to a baptism.

Hurricane

So yesterday there was a hurricane watch! This was a little scary at first because I have never been on an island during hurricane season. Hurricane Earl was headed toward Puerto Rico but luckily turned north and missed the island. We still got a ton of wind and a TON of rain. The streets by our house were all flooded to my knees. I took Tyler to school so I could go to the store and get things in case our power went out from the storm.
To start off you need to know one thing about Puerto Rico, the island is 50x100 miles and there are 4million people on the island, that's right I said 4 million. The majority of which are in San Juan. Everything is crowded, always and there is traffic no matter what time of day it is. (Except Sunday mornings. Back to my point, so I am at the store, it is 7 in the morning and the line for the check out is 1/2 hour long. AHHH! Then, Tyler calls me to come get him so I head off to get him and hit a little traffic.....no A LOT of traffic....no joke I think every car in puerto rico was on the road and they were all heading the same dirrection. I was moving no where! I think my blood started to boil a little bit. The ironic thing about it was just before I had left I finished reading Elder Uchdorf's talk in the conference ensign on patience. It took my two hours, TWO HOURS to pick him up. Normally it is 15 min to get the the school and that is with the typical traffic. I think I could have walked home faster than that!
The up-side to the storm was the waves. We just got back from the beach and it was incredible. The waves were comin up all the way to the hotel. They were huge, Tyler went out surfing for a little while, I tried for a little bit but I couldn't even get past the waves they were so big. They were tossing me around real bad. I still had a blast though. There were so many surfers out there it was way cool to see. Unfortunately I did not get any pictures because we were both in the water. We need a photographer:) Anyone who wants to come visit is more than welcome. It is a blast!

Puerto Rico

So far these are the only pictures we have taken in Puerto Rico. Don't worry there will be more to come. This was the first week I was here. Tyler had a lot of time off so we were able to spend it together before he oficially started seeing patients. I love where we live. Tyler could not have picked a better apartment. We are so close to the beach so we like to go there a lot. It is definitely going to be a different experience living out here but it will be fun.

New York

For orientation Tyler had to go to New York for two weeks. I was able to go out over the 4th of July weekend. I have never been to New York before so I had a blast. It is like it's own country. There are millions of people and the subway...by far my favorite. It goes every where! This was on our way home one night this guy was playin down there (it was so hot) and he was wearing these leather pants. He was actually pretty good so we were all jammin together:)

We got to see Wicked while we were in New York. I missed it in Omaha and I really wanted to see it and i'm glad we did. It was great. This was by far one of my favorite scenes.

This is central park, or at least part of it. The park is huge, you could spend a whole week just in the park. I really liked this skyline view of all the buildings.

We went to times square a few times and we saw some pretty crazy people/things. this was by far the most interesting but creepy thing I have ever seen. There is a face on the other side of the head so either way you look at it you feel like you are looking at it from the front. CRAZY! I was so afraid it was gong to swing one of its arms around and swatt me by accident.

The whole three years we were in Omaha I had wanted to go to Nauvoo. Luckily just before graduation we were able to make a quick trip out there. It was a lot of fun and I learned a lot about the early saints and everything they had to go through. Definately huge spiritual uplifter.
This statue is Joseph and Hyrum Smith looking at the Nauvoo temple. Just before heading to carthage on what was their final ride the statue depicts the beginning of that fateful journey

The Nauvoo Temple is now one of my favorite, it has a very comforting feeling and I feel like I am at home there.

It's Official! We are going to ....................!!!!

Tyler was accepted into an Endodontic Residency in San Juan Puerto Rico and we couldn't be more excited. We will be there for two years and maybe now we will get some visitors ;) I don't understand why no one wants to come to Omaha Nebraska lol. Any way, he starts July 1st so we'll head out there some time in June to get settled. We do plan on visiting Utah for a few weeks before we head out there though so fam and friends, you better watch out. We have had a blast out here and are definately ready to move on to new things. Yes we still have another month here before graduation but I have already started packing up our house. No decorations gets a little depressing but I guess for a month it's not so bad. After finishing boards this weekend Tyler is officially all done with tests. Now lets just hope he passed the biggest test of his life! We won't find out for another 3-4 weeks. Keep your fingers crossed. Until next time!

WASHINGTON DC

Over spring break Tyler and I got the opportunity to go Washington DC. I have never been there before so it was quite a treat.

Day 1:
We stayed down town right next to the convention center and to our surprise there was a 5 guys on the next block so of course that is the first place we went. Day one was pretty relaxing since we flew in that day so we just hung around. We went to Smithsonian American Art Museum which was huge and we really enjoyed some of the artwork. One thing I thought was pretty amazing was in one of the rooms they had old writings, and lists from people like picasso and other various old artists. I couldn't imagine writing a list (which I do all the time) and having it in a museum 100 yrs later.

Day 2:
Started out with breakfast of course and then off to see the sights. We headed to the Holocaust museum and arrived there without getting lost. It wasn't until we were passing it however that we realized we were getting on the freeway. And so began the fued over GPS. We ended up driving all over Washington to finally get back to the museum. The museum had a lot of sad stories but I definately learned more than I evern knew about the Holocaust. We even got a tour by a Holocaust Survivor. She was the sweetest little old lady and I felt so sad when she was telling us a little bit about what it was like. She said her husband is the only one in his family that survived. If you have not seen "The Boy in the Stripped Pajamas" it is a must see. After seeing it and visiting the musuem it was pretty heart wrenching.

The other 4 days we were able to see the capital, the monument, the lincoln memorial, some of the other Smithsonian's (museum of natural history, air & space museum). One of my favorites was the Arlington Cemetary. It was a very touching experience to see all these men and women who died fighting for our freedom. In fact, seeing all the sights in Washington really allowed me to get a greater idea of the sacrifice our ancestors made in order for us to live the way we do today.

Long Over Due

So I am terrible about updating this blog. I don't take very many pictures and I know people don't want to just read a novel every time. I guess that might just be me. Anyway, we are almost done here in Omaha and while it is sad to leave all our friends, we are very excited about moving on to new things. Tyler is done taking his national board exam and I hope he passed because I hear it is one hard test to take. Although I have faith in him that he passed it seems a little questionable when I get pictures like this from his dental friends:

Tyler and some of his buddies came back for a second year as the Dean Team (intramurals-football) Tonight they just won their last game making them the "All U" champs for the second year in a row. It has been really fun to see them at all their games. They will be playing the champ intramural team from UNO Tomorrow night to try and win back the plaque for creighton. From what I understand, it has been at UNO for a while now. The Team consisted of 9 guys and here they are!

MY FIRST MARATHON!

A couple weeks ago we had the chance to go to Kansas City and Run in the Marathon. This was my first and Hopefully not my last seeing as I did enjoy myself. It was pretty amazing seeing everyone at the finish line and better yet, Tyler ran out as I was coming up the last hill and gave me just what I needed to sprint to the finish.

IT WAS AMAZING!

Here I am finally crossing the finish after what was the LONGEST run in my life!

When I signed up for the marathon, Tyler decided he wanted to do the relay marathon, so he and 4 other people ran the 26.2 miles passing the "baton" along the way. He did the second leg which was 6 miles. I am so proud of him! Good Job babe!

Trip to Utah

We were able to make it to Utah during the break! YaY while there we hung out with fam and friends. Went to lake powell (pics are with my sis, they are on their way). Oh yeah and I ran the Provo 1/2 marathon. It was very exciting other than the fact I was being passed by old women!! I managed to beat my goal so I was happy but as far as i'm concerned with the seniors...Better luck next time:) There were so many people at the finish line I loved it. It felt like I was winning the gold medal, even though 99.9999999% of them were not there for me. Even with all the people we managed to get a few pics...Hopefully my photagrapher will do a little better next time;)

For anyone who is interested in babyfrillz I am doing my next show on Sat June 13th (that's this sat). It is the Benson Arts Festival located on maple between 61st-63rd. They normally block off the whole street for 3 blocks and they have a bunch of different vendors. There is also, a car show, food, and kids activities like face painting etc. There is a farmers market as well as other various artists. I think it is going to be a lot of fun so come out have yourself a good day and support your local artists. It starts @ 8:30 in the AM and goes all day. Vendors will be there til at least 4 and the festival goes until 11PM.

Liberty Jail

So, I wish we had pictures of a little one to plaster all over our page but we don't so you'll just have to look at our ugly mugs until a little one comes along:) Tyler won't let me get a dog either so my luck stops there I guess. This past weekend over easter we were finally able to make a trip out to Kansas City. It is beautiful out there. There is tons to do too. We went out to some of the church sites, Liberty Jail, and the Independence visitors center. I would say it was definately eye awakening to see the small jail that Joseph Smith was held in for 127 days for no reason. I can't believe how small it was.

Then we got to do some shopping, and ate at some good restaurants. My Birthday was saturday so I got the pleasure of chosing the lunch place we ate at. It was called STIX & I would say it was one very amazing restaurant. Anyway, the guys went to the Yankee's game and the girls got to hang out. Oh don't you worry though, the freeway's in Kansas City are horrible, Becca had to do a couple of U-turns on our way to pick up the guys. All in All I would say it was a great trip.

So the boys got to play intermural football this season and with a team full of amazing athletes they managed to pull off the championship for Creighton. After that we all got to go down to Lincoln and the boys played in the regional intermural football tournament. It was pretty fun, we got to go to lunch and have Panda Express since it is not in Omaha. Believe it or not...unlike Omaha, it's actually warm when it is sunny in Lincoln so it made it very enjoyable.

So I think Keri is Wonder Woman:) After seeing the movie Twilight at the 12am showing (it was amazing by the way), we were on our way home when all of a sudden we hear a thud...thud...thud... we pull off at Bucky's and get out, sure enough, the tire is flat, not only is it flat but it is smoking and we can smell the burned rubber. So anyway, it's 2:30 in the morning and we are four girls in the freezing cold... lo and behold Wonder Woman aka...Keri...pulls out the tire tools and changes the tire in under 15 minutes, no joke!! Wow Keri, really? teach me how to do that. Who needs a man around when you have Wonder Woman. GO KERI!! luv you girl

Hey there it's me again. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am working right now while Tyler is at home eating cereal and watching TV. BYU...UTAH game was last saturday and a bunch of us went over to the buffalo wild wings to watch since none of us get the game on our tv's. It was a great game I would have to say considering Utah won by a blow-out. Up until this game I was under the impression that Tyler would stick by Utah, #1 because I am his wife & #2 because he went there for a year. NO!!!!!!!!!!! He decides he's going to cheer for BYU the WHOLE GAME just because they were behind. REALLY? I wanted to just scream. It didn't help that he had a little BYU fan sitting next to him who happens to be out neighbor. (Don't get me wrong, I luv our neighbors).

So today I decided it was time to update a little on my blog. No pictures yet because i'm lame. We are still out in omaha as most of you know and I am going to school at UNO, it is taking forever to get my degree. I promise you I will get it. Tyler is still at Creighton and we have another year and 1/2 til he's done here. Anyway, I am also working two jobs so i feel bad because I have been neglecting Tyler a little. He understands though, luckily. I am working part time for a financial planner and going to school the other days. Then at nights I teach fitness classes so I hardly have time for anything else. I try my best though. When I do have time, I love to cook and organize our house. Many of you asked what I was doing all week while Tyler went hunting. Well I locked myself in our back room and worked on it. It was pretty gross back there so I did a little carpeting and painting. Now it looks as good as new. I didn't take any before pictures and i'm hitting myself for that but as soon as I get the pics of the new room I will get them up. DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!! NOVEMBER 4TH.

As many of you know the boss' returned home to Utah for their break this summer. Yes boards are finally over and thank goodness for that! Good Job Tyler. We did some fun things while we were home, skydiving, tubing, four wheeling, boating, golfing etc. oh and tyler played golf on the Wii. (He's a pro! lol)

This is a picture of the tornado that ripped through the boy scout camp. I don' t know about anyone else but i have NEVER seen anything like this. I can't believe this actually happened just 40 miles from our house. Pray for the families of those four boys who lost their lives and also for those who were injured.
